When I first started this, there was no such thing as facebook, or any photo sharing sites whatsoever. I got a domain name, uploaded some scans of 35mm pictures and proceeded to ignore it.
I find now that there is a small group who check in once in a while, maybe once a year. And never any updates. For years.
I am attempting to update things. My updates are outdated as I put them up.The problem is my small bit of content doesn't do justice to some of the great tools and templates available out there. It is overkill.
The old photos were hosted using coppermine. I like it, but had issues with my 10 year old password after updating the software. Messing with google photos, but I'm not sold on it yet. Facebook really isn't made for hosting large amounts of photos. You can do it, but I've had issues with photos disappearing and getting mysteriously rearranged. Currently using the generically named Gallery software. It, like coppermine, displays photos stored on my rented space on hostdime servers.
Several scripts for guestbooks available so installed Lazarus. I don't really see it used anywhere these days but you can try it.
